ne of the central aims of our new data center, which is due to officially go live in around 10 weeks, is to generate as much energy as possible from renewable sources ourselves. Sustainability is not an empty promise for us, but a reality we live by: that's why we are using every available space to equip it with modern solar modules. In this way, we aim to further reduce our electricity consumption from the public grid to a minimum.
Over the past 14 days, we have started building another solar installation - this time facing west. Before starting the actual installation, some preparatory work was necessary, including a comprehensive roof renovation to create optimal conditions for the new modules.
We are currently installing a total of 24 solar modules, each with an output of 450 Wpeak. This results in an additional capacity of 10.8 kWp, which will flow directly into the sustainable operation of our data center in the future.
This step brings us a good deal closer to our goal of operating a data center that is as climate-friendly and energy self-sufficient as possible. We are delighted to share this milestone with you - and will of course keep you regularly informed about further progress over the coming weeks!
