About us

Who we are – and what we stand for

We are Serverdiscounter.com, your reliable cloud and bare-metal provider based in Berlin. Since our foundation, we have pursued a clear goal: high-performance IT infrastructure, entirely from Germany – sustainable, secure and transparent.

We operate our entire infrastructure exclusively in German data centers, more precisely in Frankfurt am Main – the most important Internet hub in Europe. This is where our heart is located: our own, highly available network under the Autonomous System Number (ASN) AS205388 with its own backbone. This ensures that your data reaches its destination quickly, securely and directly – without any detours.

🌍 Sustainability that convinces

As a responsible company, climate protection is particularly important to us. That’s why we operate our entire infrastructure using 100% renewable energy. This applies not only to our servers, but to everything – from cooling and grid connection to office lighting.

We believe that high-performance IT does not have to be at the expense of the environment.

2005
Foundation

Founded in 2005 as a business in the small village of Grabenstetten in the Swabian Alb, the company took care of small orders as an IT service provider in the surrounding area.

2008
Move to first data center

Renamed e.k in 2008, we moved into our first colocation space in the Lambdanet data center in Stuttgart.

2016
Private customer brand is established

The "Serverdiscounter" brand was launched in 2016, with offers aimed specifically at private customers.

2016
First data center in Frankfurt

The first colocation space for the "Serverdiscounter" brand was moved into in Frankfurt am Main.

2019
FRA2

We soon ran out of space in our colocation area, so "FRA2" was set up with a partner company.

2020
New brand for business customers

With our "metaliance" brand, we began separating private and B2B customers in 2020. With our new brand, we will be providing products tailored specifically to B2B customers from 2020.

2021
FRA3

In order to further expand our offerings under our "metaliance" brand, we have started to build a colocation space "FRA3" in Telehouse Frankfurt in 2021. With a redundant power and Internet connection, we also use highly available cluster systems and can offer our customers an uptime SLA of 99.99%.

2023
New backbone

From 2023, we have started to build a central backbone with Juniper equipment in Frankfurt am Main
