A Bare Metal Server (also called Dedicated Server) is a physical server that is exclusively available to you. Unlike virtual servers, you don't share the hardware with other customers – you get the full performance of the entire hardware.
Bare Metal servers are ideal for:

- Databases – MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB with high requirements

Deployment typically occurs within 24-48 hours. After setup, you'll receive all access credentials via email.
IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) and ILO (Integrated Lights-Out) enable remote access to your server – independent of the installed operating system. You can restart the server, use a KVM console, and mount ISO images.
Yes! You can mount custom ISO images via the customer center or IPMI/ILO and install any operating system – including Windows Server, VMware ESXi, Proxmox and many more.

All Bare Metal servers are protected with DDoS protection up to 250 Gbit/s on Layer 2, 3 and optionally Layer 7. Attacks are automatically detected and filtered. Protection is included free with all plans.
Yes, additional IPv4 addresses can be ordered via the customer center. A /64 IPv6 subnet is already included with all plans.
The minimum contract term is only 1 month. You can cancel your server with 10 days' notice at the end of the billing period.
All servers are located in our own data center in Stuttgart. We are a German company and fully comply with GDPR. The servers are operated with 100% renewable energy.
