4. Web Analytics with Matomo

We use Matomo (formerly Piwik) on our website, an open-source software for statistical analysis of visitor access. Matomo uses cookies that enable analysis of website usage.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is stored on our own server in Germany. The IP address is anonymized before storage. With the help of Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data about the use of our website by visitors. This allows us to determine when page views were made and from which region they come.

5. Meta Pixel (Facebook)

We use the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) on our website. This is an analytics tool from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Meta").

The Meta Pixel allows us to track user behavior after they have been redirected to our website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes.

The collected data is anonymous for us and does not allow us to draw conclusions about the identity of users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes.
